One of the popular questions I’ve received about my site so far is... “What’s the story behind the name of your site?” Well, here it is! During my junior golf career, I spent a significant amount of time competing on the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA). It’s no secret that my last name is a little intimidating at first to pronounce, so to make it easier the AJGA interns and tournament committee nicknamed me Kim “Can You One Putt!” I remember times when they’d announce me to the 1st tee as Kim “Can You One Putt!” It hysterically sounds like my last name and is absolutely easier for any non-Thai person to say (and spell). :) The more I thought about it, KimCanYouOnePutt.com seemed like a fitting name for my website. In golf, one-putting is usually the intended goal (that’s if you haven’t already holed out from off the green like a stud). Well, I perceive “one-putting” as a metaphor in life for achieving any desired goal or dream. In essence, I’m expressing a hypothetical question within the name... Kim, can you one putt? Can I reach my ultimate dreams? Well, let’s find out!
